| Bane Raiding |
Bane Raiding Days/Times - Wednesday: 20:30-23:30 - Thursday: 20:30-23:30 - Sunday: 20:30-23:30 - Monday: 20:30-23:30
Bane Raiding Rules These rules of conduct apply to all Bane members and are designed to make our progression through Endgame as smooth, seamless and efficient as possible. Running our raids in an efficient, focused manner allows us to succeed much more quickly.
- Raiders need to be online, repaired, and ready for summon with all their consumables, food, water, reagents, ammo, etc. 20 minutes prior to scheduled raid time, and ready for summon 10 minutes prior to raid time. If you are not online and ready 10 minutes prior to raid time you may be rotated out for a sub at the discretion of the Raid Leader. Being online and AFK/Nonresponsive is the same as being offline. We should be walking into the instance as a full group at the scheduled start time. Raid group invites will come 20 minutes prior to raid time.
- Subs should also be online and ready for summon during scheduled raid times in the event that they are needed. Raids are scheduled in 3 hour blocks unless noted otherwise in the event description on Ingame Calender, and all raiders signed up for the run should themselves be available. Because we try to be casual, we don't beat on people when Real Life comes up, and often someone has to bail shortly before or during the raid. Raids may be extended if everyone is willing, able, and the situation permits.
- Mumble is to be treated as a "combat channel" during the raid. Nobody asking for help or a heal should ever be drowned out by someone cheering about a big crit or chatting. The Raid Leader should never have to shout over idle conversation in order to be heard. There will be time for breaks after boss fights to chat, but idle conversation during the run up to a boss fight or especially during combat will only lead to distraction and wipes.
- Due to the varied nationalities in the guild, the raid leader will communicate all instructions in English. In the event where a raid member might better understand what is expected of him/her in his/her own language, a brief explanation can be communicated. This will be an exception more than the norm.
- If you die during a fight, the time to discuss why is after the fight. If you're a healer and you were main healing a particular target the appropriate call out is "name down, heal tankname". This gives the raid the best possible chance to recover. You can't expect everyone in the raid to commit all healing assignments to memory, and this simple thing can prevent raid wipes.
- Posting of Damage and Healing Meter results are frowned upon and should not be spammed into the Raid or Guild channel. If statistics like that interest you, install the add-on yourself. Boss fights are about tactics and execution NOT how imba your DPS or Healing is.
- Nothing will ever be pulled until it is marked by the Raid Leader except in certain circumstances. Different class balances and types of mobs will dictate the use of different marks and the order of the kills, but we will make every effort to mark consistently and kill in order every time.
- When learning new content a Main Tank will be the first one through every door and around every corner except as designated by the Raid Leader. Wandering ahead causes wipes.
- DPS needs to give the Main Tanks the opportunity to build aggro prior to starting in on every mob, every time. Success is determined on how cleanly every encounter, Boss or Trash, is executed. Creating unnecessary chaos and getting players killed only leads to stress, and stress leads to Heart Attacks.
- Raiders need to take the time to visit www.icy-veins.com and www.tankspot.com to read up on and learn the fights they will be encountering, especially in 10 man content. A few minutes spent reading can save 15 minutes of explaining, and by taking the time to watch a few videos you'll get more background on a fight than the raid leader can provide. This is especially true if you are new to the instance or the bosses, as many times a 10 minute explanation may be required to bring 2 people up to speed, when it would have been a 2 minute explanation if they'd taken the time to read strategies.
- Raiders must maintain a positive attitude. There is plenty of discussion of strategy, especially when learning boss fights, and the Raid Leader will listen to every suggestion and then decide on a course of action for the raid. Complaints will not be tolerated, whining will not be tolerated, generally bad attitudes will not be tolerated. Everyone's input is valued and will be heard, but a Raid is only a Democracy when the Raid Leader calls for a vote.
